Interhemispheric differences in cirrus properties from anthropogenic emissions (INCA)

INCA payload onboard the Falcon aircraft:

  2. Interstitial/out-of-cloud aerosol properties
  3. Crystal redisual properties
  4. Trace gas concentration

MARL: Ground based mobile Aerosol-Raman-Lidar of AWI, Alfred-Wegener Institute, Bremerhaven, O. Schrems

Observations of Cirrus Clouds Backscatter Properties with MARL:
 
Nd: YAG-laser, pulse energy  about 300 mJ at 355 and 532 nm 
Pulse repetition frequency 30 Hz 
Telescope 1.1 m diam. primary mirror, 3.5 m focal length
