UV Information Service


The PROMOTE UV information service is dedicated to all European citizens. It provides information on UV-Index, sunburn time on the basis of skin type and sun protection factor in order to reduce the risk of skin damages due to solar UV radiation.  The UV information service is covering the entire area of Europe including the Azores and Canary Islands (20N-72N, 32W-48E).

Depending on region this UV information service offers specifically dedicated sub services, the UV-Check service of the German Aerospace Centre, DLR, and and the MEDSUN service of the Italian company Flyby srl with the latter more focusing on Mediterranean regions. The actual UV information is available by clicking on arbitrary local sites on the following European map.
