After a small detour over Italy, the Mediterranean Sea and Spain, the first stop will be on Sal (Cap Verde). This night flight targets again gravity wave propagation over the mountains and in the polar night jet (evolving northern polar vortex) as well as in the tropopause jet. The crew will spend one day on Sal resting after this night flight and before the upcoming long flight to Buenos Aires. Arrival in Buenos Aires is expected for Monday evening.
