- Last but not least: Gudmunds pictures
- We decided not to fly today and to send the Falcon for three days to Iceland.
Haraldur shall use his EUFAR flight hours at home. On the way to Iceland we will
measure the strong low level jet near Cape Tobin. About the final flight planning we
had telecons with Haraldur. He is full of ideas and energy and I'm sorry that we can
only afford of few flights from Iceland because of the missing infrastructure in
Iceland - we can bring all our facilities spontaneously to Iceland. The rough ideas
are: transfer via Jan Mayen, Cape Tobin. Monday: local flight to a mooring array
between Iceland and Greenland. Tuesday: local flights and return. This is just
enough to fill our storage space for the windlidar.
- Rudi managed to make a fourth Pizza (large storage device for wind lidar data
onboard the aircraft) from new hard discs, Stephan sent yesterday from Germany.
