- Last but not least: Gudmunds pictures
again.
- The flight planning was done in quick way today as all parties agreed to map the cold air outbreak north
of Svalbard. There is almost no medium and high cloud cover to expect. Even the predicted absence of low
clouds in some regions will allow for low-level flight to measure the heat fluxes directly with the turbulence
sensors. Also the sensitive regions (at least ETKF) was producing a broad red area around Svalbard.
Additionally, we also plan to detour shortly over the Kongsfjord glacier to collect data for our friends from the
University of Innsbruck. For the final flight plan, see observations.
- The whale safari was simply great. I cannot make many words about this but see the pictures and Emma's and
Gudmund's
blog.
- Breaks were repaired and tested: we are fully operational again!
