Campaign diary on 17 September 2008

Finally, the first ET mission! The ET group is getting really eycited as it has been waiting for this for 6 weeks now since the start of the US aircraft and some were afraig that there would not be any ET during the campaign after preparing this for several years. A double flight with landing at Iwakuni is made with a nice cross section ahead of the storm that samples the outflow. Lots of clouds cause unfavourable conditions for the lidars, but the clouds related to Shinlaku just seem impossible to avoid.
