Scope

The TAC conferences on Transport, Atmosphere, and Climate provide a platform for an international information exchange and a discussion forum on the current status of our knowledge of the impact of transport on the composition of the atmosphere and the climate. They continue and broaden the scope of the initial AAC conference Aviation, Atmosphere, and Climate which took place in 2003. The first TAC conferences were successfully held in Oxford in 2006, in Aachen/Maastricht in 2009 and in Prien/Chiemsee in 2012.

TAC-4 2015 conference

The TAC-4 conference took place from 22-25 June 2015 in Bad Kohlgrub. Bad Kohlgrub is a small town between Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. TAC5 is likely to happen in 2019.

Schedule:

• 10 April 2014: Pre-registration is open.
• July 2014: First Announcement is distributed.
• 23 February 2015: The Second Announcement has been distributed. Abstract submission, registration and hotel reservations are possible now.
• 10 April 2015: The Third Announcement has been distributed.
• 10 April 2015: Deadline for abstract submission
• 14 April 2015: Blocking of rooms at a reduced rate ends, after this date availability of rooms is not guaranteed
• 15 May 2015: Availability of reduced conference fees ends.
• 19 May 2015: The agenda is online.
• 29 May 2015: The book of abstracts is available.
• 15 July 2015: Posters and presentation are available for download in the restriced area ("Participants only" button).
• 13 December 2016: The proceedings book is online
• December 2017: The TAC special issue appeared in Meteorologische Zeitschrift. All eight articles are open access and the Editorial gives an overview over the issue.
• January 2018: There will be no TAC5 in summer 2018, however it is likely to happen in summer 2019. The conference will be announced on this page.
